How to Extract Contacts from iPhone Backup - 2019 Newest

My iPhone went dead for no reasons and couldn’t power on from then on. So I bought a new one. But all my data including some very important contacts which were saved in my old iPhone were gone! How can I get back all contacts since I had backed up iPhone contacts to the computer and iCloud one week ago?

1. Restore iPhone from Backup via iTunes

You can restore your iPhone via iTunes if you’ve ever backed up iPhone to computer in order to get the lost contacts back. You just need to connect your iPhone to your computer and run iTunes, then click over the iPhone icon on top. Click the Summary tab and move to the Backups section to restore backup. Choose the latest iTunes backup to restore from.

Note that: Restoring from iTunes backup will not only recover contacts, but also other data like photos, call logs, messages, etc. You can’t select what you want to get back. Besides, your current data and settings will be overwritten by those in the backup.

2. Restore iPhone from iCloud Backup

If you have synced your iPhone with iCloud before, you will probably recover lost contacts from restoring iPhone with previous iCloud backup. You need to factory reset your iPhone then. On your iPhone, navigate to SettingsGeneralResetErase All Contents and Settings, and then sign in iCloud account to set up your iPhone with the most recent iCloud backup afterwards.

Option 1. Extract Contacts from iTunes Backup File

Choose Recover from iTunes Backup File on the FoneLab interface.
