2. Firmware Update

In the early days, the firmware upgrade was mainly to fix some bugs and compatibility issues. With the advent of the information age, it's difficult to fully meet customer needs. There are more manufacturers upgrade firmware to provide more updates to their firmware as additional value-added to users. Therefore, we can summarize as follows:

  1. The manufacturer will further optimize and innovate firmware to work in better conditions. The firmware upgrade will aid an improved performance.
  2. As the change and update of the software and hardware may occur any incompatibilities of the phones, the manufacturers, therefore, enhance the compatibility of the product continuously by updating the firmware.
  3. Based on the original hardware, the manufacturer developed new functions. For the original products, the new functions can be added simply by updating Firmware.
  4. For any software or hardware produced, there may be some defects, so the manufacturer can modify any errors, vulnerabilities or deficiencies from previous releases by updating firmware.

Since updating firmware is risky after all, be careful before and during the process. The following preparations must be made before flashing:

  1. Batteries with sufficient electricity: to prevent interruption of the update process due to insufficient battery power.
  2. Back up existing firmware: to prevent a rollback to the original firmware if the firmware is not upgraded properly or if it is not satisfied with the new firmware.
  3. New firmware files: While Samsung galaxy can be updated directly over the network, the reliability of downloading to your computer for further updates is much higher.
  4. Shut down irrelevant computer software: To prevent the update process from being disturbed by other software, it's best to temporarily shut down unwanted software especially antivirus software.
  5. Power on the phone during the entire flash process.
  6. Disable the screen saver and power management before updating.
