When I was updating my iPod touch to iOS 10, it went into iPod recovery mode. While connecting my iPod to my computer, I do hear the alert from the iPod to notice me a device is connected. And then iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode and needs to be restored. But it won’t let me reset iPod touch without updating first.
